Power and Performance of the 2024 Ford Maverick
Ford offers two engine options for the 2024 Maverick. You can choose between the standard 2.0L EcoBoost® engine or the optional 2.5L hybrid engine.
The standard four-cylinder engine gives you 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. You can also choose the all-wheel drive option with this engine.
The hybrid powertrain option is a four-cylinder engine assisted by an electric motor, giving 191 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) that gives you smooth acceleration and operation on the road.
The 2024 Maverick offers a base maximum payload capacity of 1,500 pounds and a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. If you need more hauling power, you can achieve up to 4,000 pounds of towing capacity with the optional tow package.
