Luxury features available on the 2024 F-150 and 2024 RAM 1500 include leather seats and open-pore wood trim. Higher trims feature front seats with heating plus power adjustment. Performance Comparison

Three powertrains are available for the 2024 F-150 range. The base engine is a more powerful 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 now. It replaces the old Ecoboost four-cylinder. The new engine makes 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. A rear-wheel drive is standard, but a four-wheel-drive system can be chosen.

Then, there's a 5.0-liter V8 from Ford's Coyote engine family. Also seen in the Mustang, this engine produces 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. It is also paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive. A four-wheel drive is optional.

The most powerful powertrain for the 2024 F-150 is the PowerBoost hybrid. This sophisticated system uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 and an electric motor. It can churn out 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive are standard. A four-wheel drive is optional. This variant can achieve 0-60 in a scant 5.4 seconds.

Off-road fans will want to pick the Tremor variant of the 2024 F-150. With its upgraded suspension, four-wheel-drive transfer case, and 33-inch off-road tires, it’s superbly capable. You’ve also got a locking differential and variable-assistance power steering. This last feature is also available on other trims.

In comparison, the 2024 RAM 1500’s powertrain choices are restrictive. There are only two gasoline offerings, neither of which can match the output of the 2024 F-150’s top levels. Lower trims get a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Higher trims can get a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that develops 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

The 2024 RAM 1500 comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive. Buyers can choose four-wheel-drive on some trims. Furthermore, the 2024 RAM 1500 can only tow 12,750 pounds. Meanwhile, the 2024 F-150 leads with its 13,500-pound towing capacity.

Safety Features Comparison

The 2024 Ford F-150 extends its lead in terms of standard safety equipment. It has automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, as well as a blind-spot information system. Higher trims get lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist.

Optional features on the 2024 F-150 include adaptive cruise control, Ford’s BlueCruise system, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system. Some of these features are optional on the 2024 RAM 1500, while others are unavailable.
